Join NovaForge Industries, a leading manufacturing innovator delivering high-precision components for aerospace and automotive sectors. We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to drive process optimization, elevate quality, and mentor a dynamic team in our Houston facility.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will partner with production, quality, and maintenance teams to identify bottlenecks, implement lean improvements, and ensure safe, compliant operations. This role combines hands-on problem solving with strategic process design to sustain world-class performance.
Responsibility
- Analyze production line performance data to identify root causes of inefficiencies and scrap, documenting findings and recommended actions.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using lean tools to reduce cycle times and waste by measurable margins.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations to optimize equipment downtime and preventive maintenance scheduling.
- Develop and validate standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for new and existing processes.
- Support new product launches by qualifying processes, materials, and equipment for robust manufacturability.
- Monitor quality metrics, investigate deviations, and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
- Mentor operators and technicians, promoting a culture of safety, ownership, and accountability.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field; 3-5 years of factory floor experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis (DMAIC).
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven decision making.
- Familiarity with PLCs, automation, and basic electrical troubleshooting is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to lead cross-functional projects.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adjacent shifts if required.
