Responsibility
- Conduct field and laboratory research on physical and biological oceanographic processes.
- Design and execute experiments utilizing advanced oceanographic instruments and remote sensing technologies.
- Analyze large datasets, model ocean systems, and interpret results for research and publication.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support ongoing marine science projects.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, grant applications, and peer-reviewed manuscripts.
- Present research findings at international conferences and workshops.
- Mentor graduate students and interns in best research practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental protocols during field operations.
Qualification
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Oceanography, Marine Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in physical or biological oceanography.
- Proven proficiency with oceanographic data collection and remote sensing platforms.
- Strong analytical, statistical, and modeling skills (MATLAB, Python, R).
- Demonstrated publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Willingness to participate in field expeditions that may require extended periods at sea.
