In this role you will drive system reliability, champion data-driven decision making, and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple vessels and platforms. We offer a dynamic, multinational work environment with opportunities to lead strategic navigation projects and advance your technical career.

Responsibility

  • Lead deployment and integration of navigation systems (ECDIS, ARPA, AIS, radar) across fleet assets and port interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for voyage planning, safety checks, and contingency navigation.
  • Configure and optimize ECDIS and radar overlays to enhance route accuracy and situational awareness.
  • Analyze voyage and system data to identify efficiency gains, fuel savings, and risk mitigation opportunities.
  • Provide technical support and training to ship crews and shore teams; drive knowledge transfer and competency development.
  • Collaborate with vendors and port authorities on system upgrades, certifications, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support incident investigations related to navigation system performance and contribute to lessons learned.
  • Participate in business continuity planning for navigation-critical systems and emergency response drills.

Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in nautical science, maritime engineering, electronics, or a related field; master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in maritime navigation systems or bridge operations with hands-on work on ECDIS, ARPA, AIS, and radar.
  • Strong knowledge of SOLAS, STCW, and applicable maritime regulations and standards.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and cross-cultural collaboration skills; experience training crews and partners required.
