Nova Insight Analytics is seeking a results-driven Market Research Analyst to join our growing team in San Francisco. You will design research studies, manage vendor relationships, and synthesize complex data into clear narratives for product, marketing, and executive leadership. This is a hands-on role ideal for a curious, metrics-driven professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
As a member of our Market Intelligence practice, you will partner with product, marketing, and sales teams to uncover opportunities, validate hypotheses, and tell data-driven stories that influence decisions at all levels of the organization.
Responsibility
- Design and execute primary and secondary market research initiatives, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and competitive analyses.
- Develop research plans, sampling strategies, and measurement frameworks aligned with business objectives.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using tools such as SQL, Excel, Python/R, and visualization platforms (Tableau/Power BI).
- Interpret findings, synthesize insights into compelling narratives, and present recommendations to product, marketing, and leadership teams.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Sales to translate insights into roadmap priorities and go-to-market strategies.
- Manage vendors and fieldwork timelines, ensuring quality and ethical research practices.
- Monitor market trends, customer segments, and competitive activity to inform strategy and innovation.
- Prepare executive-ready reports and dashboards; communicate complex data in clear, actionable terms.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 3+ years of market research experience in technology, consumer products, or B2B sectors.
- Strong proficiency in quantitative methods (survey design, sampling, regression analysis) and qualitative techniques (interviews, ethnography).
- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI); Python or R is a plus.
- Proficiency in analyzing large datasets, drawing insights, and storytelling with data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to cross-functional teams and executives.
- Detail-oriented with strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated, curious, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
