Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain secure military communications equipment and networks in field and garrison environments.
- Troubleshoot complex RF, satellite, and landline systems to minimize downtime.
- Monitor performance, perform preventive maintenance, and document system changes in compliance with DoD standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure, resilient communication architectures for missions.
- Provide on-site and remote support to operational units, ensuring peak readiness.
- Assist with field deployments, upgrade cycles, and inventory management of communications gear.
- Develop and deliver training to junior technicians on best practices and safety protocols.
Qualification
- Active security clearance (DoD) or ability to obtain one; U.S. citizenship required.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field, or equivalent military coursework.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in military or defense communications environments.
- Strong expertise with RF systems, satellite communications, tactical radios, and network fundamentals.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and ability to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills; able to work under pressure.
- Willingness to deploy, travel, and adapt to austere environments; valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs.
