Responsibility
- Oversee daily museum operations including facilities, security, visitor services, and hospitality to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
- Lead strategic planning and budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation across departments.
- Collaborate with curatorial and conservation teams on exhibitions, loans, and collections logistics.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with donors, sponsors, city partners, and community organizations.
- Develop and implement policies, safety protocols, and risk management strategies.
- Plan and execute public programming, events, and community outreach to increase attendance and engagement.
- Lead a high-performing operations team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development.
- Drive data-driven decision-making through metrics on attendance, visitor satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Museum Studies, History, Arts Administration, or a related field; master's preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in museum operations, administration, or facilities management.
- Strong leadership, budgeting, and project management skills with a track record of improving operations.
- Experience coordinating exhibitions, loans, and collections logistics; knowledge of compliance and conservation considerations.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency with museum management software, ticketing systems, and data analytics.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as programming requires.
