The Royal Heritage Museum seeks an experienced Museum Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations, visitor services, and program delivery. This key role partners with curatorial and development teams to ensure a world-class visitor experience while safeguarding our collections and facilities.
As Museum Operations Manager, you will oversee facilities, security, conservation, digital interpretation, and community outreach. You will steward budgets, align operations with strategic goals, and drive safety, compliance, and accessibility standards across all touchpoints.

Responsibility
- Lead day-to-day museum operations including facilities, security, visitor services, and safety protocols.
- Oversee budget development and financial controls for operations and departments.
- Collaborate with curatorial and education teams to plan and deliver engaging public programs and exhibitions.
- Develop and implement policies on collections access, preservation, and digital interpretation.
- Manage staff recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development.
- Coordinate partnerships with volunteers, sponsors, donors, and community organizations.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory standards, health and safety, accessibility, and data protection.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in museology, museum studies, arts administration, or a related field; master's preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in museum operations, visitor services, or collections management.
- Proven track record in budget management, fundraising, and grant writing.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities; fluency in English required.
- Knowledge of preservation standards, risk management, and accessibility requirements.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and during special events as needed.
- Proficiency with museum management software and digital interpretation tools.
