You will lead daily operations, align exhibitions with strategic goals, oversee collections logistics, and ensure exemplary visitor experiences. As a key member of the leadership team, you will partner with curatorial, education, facilities, and development colleagues to deliver engaging programming that resonates with diverse audiences.
Responsibility
- Oversee day-to-day museum operations, including facilities, security, and visitor services, to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Lead exhibition planning and logistics, coordinating with curatorial and conservation teams from concept to installation.
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget; monitor KPIs, optimize costs, and report financial performance to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with museum standards, safety protocols, risk management, and data protection requirements.
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff, volunteers, and interns; foster a collaborative, inclusive workplace culture.
- Drive fundraising partnerships, sponsorships, grants, and donor stewardship to support programs and collections.
- Build community and audience programs, partnerships with schools, researchers, and local organizations to broaden access.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in museum studies, arts administration, history, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in museum operations, project management, or a senior leadership role within a cultural institution.
- Strong budgeting, financial reporting, and fundraising experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of collections handling, conservation logistics, and curatorial processes is a plus.
- Proficiency with museum management systems (CMS) and exhibition planning software.
