Responsibility
- Strategize and oversee a portfolio of exhibitions, educational programs, and community initiatives that align with the museum's mission and audience needs.
- Lead program development from concept to launch, including scopes, timelines, budgets, and evaluation metrics.
- Manage a multidisciplinary team including curators, educators, designers, and volunteers.
- Develop and steward partnerships with schools, universities, cultural organizations, and donors to expand reach and impact.
- Oversee fundraising, grant writing, sponsorships, and earned revenue opportunities to sustain programs.
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, ethics, and accessibility requirements.
- Monitor program performance through data analytics and feedback, and prepare regular leadership updates.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Museology, Museum Studies, Public History, or a related field; or equivalent experience in museum management.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in museums or cultural institutions, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Proven track record in program development, exhibition planning, and audience engagement across diverse communities.
- Strong fundraising and donor relations skills, including grant writing and sponsorship development.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management abilities; proficient with museum information systems and data analysis.
- Strategic thinker with a collaborative leadership style and a passion for accessibility and inclusivity.
- Ability to manage budgets, staffing, and timelines under competing priorities.
