Horizon Sound Lab is a premium creative hub in Nashville, where artists, producers, and brands collaborate to craft iconic sound. We’re seeking a results-driven Music Producer & Audio Engineer to lead production sessions, guide creative direction, and deliver radio-ready mixes. This full-time role blends music production, engineering, and collaboration with artists and labels to bring tracks from concept to release.
As a core member of our team, you’ll own project workflow, ensure high-quality deliverables, and contribute to creative briefs, sessions, and sound design. You’ll have access to top-tier analog and digital gear, a creative community, and opportunities to work across genres including country, pop, indie, and film scoring.
Responsibility
- Lead music production sessions from concept to final mix, including arrangement, MIDI programming, and sound design.
- Collaborate with artists, engineers, and labels to establish creative direction and project goals.
- Design and implement vocal and instrumental recording sessions, including vocal comping and tuning in a professional studio environment.
- Mix and master tracks to industry standards, ensuring loudness, clarity, and musicality across formats.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and studio scheduling; maintain organized session notes and stems.
- Contribute to sound branding, sample libraries, and plug-in presets to accelerate future productions.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns, sharing techniques and best practices.
- Support licensing, metadata tagging, and delivery for streaming platforms and sync opportunities.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Production, Audio Engineering, or 3+ years of proven studio experience.
- Proficiency with DAWs (Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Logic Pro) and high-level mixing/mastering skills.
- Strong ears for arrangement, tonal balance, dynamics, and vocal performance.
- Experience recording across genres; familiarity with Nashville scene is a plus.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities; comfortable collaborating with artists and labels.
- Knowledge of licensing, metadata, and streaming delivery requirements.
- Ability to work on-site in Nashville with occasional travel for sessions.
