As a Notary Public with our team, you’ll perform authentication services, educate clients on notary requirements, and ensure every signing is compliant with New York law. We offer a competitive compensation package, flexible scheduling options, and opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibility
- Verify client identity, administer oaths, and perform jurats and acknowledgments in accordance with New York law.
- Travel to clients' locations for mobile notary services within agreed timeframes; help schedule evening and weekend signings as needed.
- Review documents for completeness and accuracy; identify and resolve discrepancies before execution.
- Maintain precise notary records, log signings, and securely manage sensitive information.
- Communicate clearly with clients, explaining signing steps, fees, and required identifications to ensure a smooth process.
- Coordinate with clients, lenders, and attorneys to schedule signings and ensure timely delivery of documents.
- Stay current on notary laws, best practices, and software tools through ongoing training and compliance updates.
Qualification
- Current New York Notary Public commission with active status and bond as required by law.
- Minimum 2 years of professional notary experience in a client-facing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel within the NYC metro area.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication; strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with document management software and electronic notarization processes; familiarity with eNotary a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
