Responsibility
- Perform notarial acts in accordance with California law and company policies.
- Serve as Notary Signing Agent for loan packages, mortgage documents, and escrow-related paperwork.
- Verify signer identity, administer oaths when required, and ensure proper witness where applicable.
- Review documents for completion, accuracy, and consistency before signatures.
- Capture electronic or digital signatures where permitted and maintain secure logs for each signing.
- Travel to client locations or mobile signing venues within the SF Bay Area; manage travel scheduling.
- Maintain accurate records, secure storage of documents, and compliance with privacy standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service, explain signing steps, and address signer questions professionally.
Qualification
- California Notary Public in good standing with current commission
- Notary Signing Agent certification or proven loan signing experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of notary or signing experience preferred
- Errors and Omissions insurance (E&O) or willingness to obtain; bonding as required
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the San Francisco Bay Area
- Excellent communication, customer service, and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
- Familiarity with eNotary platforms, electronic signatures, and privacy regulations
