Join Savino Del Bene's global freight forwarding team in Singapore as an Ocean Freight Executive. In this role you will manage ocean freight portfolios, coordinate end-to-end shipments, and deliver reliable, cost-efficient service to customers in a fast-paced logistics environment. As part of a multinational network, you’ll influence every stage of the shipment lifecycle from quotation to delivery, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and excellent service levels.

You will be responsible for building strong relationships with customers and carriers, negotiating competitive rates, and designing optimal routing strategies to maximize value. You’ll collaborate with sales, operations, and compliance teams to develop tailored freight solutions, monitor performance, and resolve issues promptly. Your contribution will help expand Savino Del Bene's ocean freight portfolio while maintaining the highest standards of safety, documentation accuracy (B/Ls, invoices, packing lists), and regulatory compliance.

Responsibility

  • Manage end-to-end ocean freight shipments from booking to delivery, coordinating with carriers and customers to ensure on-time, cost-efficient service.
  • Proactively monitor shipment status, perform track-and-trace, and resolve delays or exceptions with urgency.
  • Prepare quotes, negotiate rates with shipping lines and carriers, and design optimal routing to maximize value.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and service providers, delivering consultative freight solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and compliance teams to ensure accurate documentation (B/Ls, invoices, packing lists) and regulatory adherence.
  • Analyze performance metrics, identify cost drivers, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
  • Support new business development and cross-sell other logistics services (air, warehousing, road transport).
  • Provide timely reporting, dashboards, and data-driven insights to stakeholders across the organization.

Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in ocean freight forwarding operations or a related logistics role.
  • Strong knowledge of Incoterms, export/import documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven negotiation and relationship management skills with carriers and customers.
  • Proficiency with freight management systems (FMS), ERP platforms (e.g., SAP/Oracle), and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional certifications in logistics or supply chain (e.g., CILT, FIATA) are a plus.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous.
