Responsibility
- Lead engaging, historically accurate walking tours in English and other languages as needed.
- Design and present compelling routes, stories, and local trivia that resonate with guests.
- Prioritize guest safety, crowd management, and adherence to local guidelines.
- Deliver excellent customer service, respond to questions, and handle feedback gracefully.
- Coordinate with operations for scheduling, group sizes, and equipment needs.
- Assist with ticketing, check-in, and post-tour thank-you notes.
- Stay informed about local events, sites, and regulations to ensure an up-to-date experience.
Qualification
- Excellent command of English; additional languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese) are a plus.
- 1+ year of guiding or customer-facing experience.
- Strong storytelling, public speaking, and audience engagement skills.
- Solid knowledge of Lisbon history, culture, architecture, and legends.
- Ability to navigate walking routes and manage groups of varying sizes.
- Valid right to work in Portugal; availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Professional appearance, reliability, and a positive, friendly demeanor.
