Responsibility
- Lead engaging walking tours of the French Quarter and surrounding neighborhoods, delivering accurate historical context and captivating stories.
- Research and refresh tour content to reflect current events, local culture, and seasonal itineraries.
- Ensure guest safety, manage group flow, collect ticketing details, and maintain compliance with local regulations.
- Adapt tours for varied group sizes, ages, and language levels; provide substitutions when required.
- Answer guest questions with clear, engaging explanations and local recommendations for dining and activities.
- Coordinate with operations for start times, replacements, and incident reporting; upsell premium experiences when appropriate.
- Uphold brand standards, dress code, and professional conduct; maintain a high-energy, positive guest experience.
Qualification
- Excellent public speaking, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
- 1+ year of tour guiding, hospitality, or customer-facing roles preferred.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans history, culture, architecture, and local customs.
- Physical ability to lead multiple tours, walk long distances, and stand for extended periods.
- Customer-service mindset with conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Reliable transportation to meet tour locations; valid driver's license is a plus.
- First aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain; safety-focused mindset.
