As a Tour Guide, you’ll share Lisbon’s iconic landmarks and hidden gems with diverse groups, bringing history to life through engaging narratives, thoughtful commentary, and exceptional guest service. Responsibility
- Lead engaging 2–3 hour walking tours in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Present historical context, anecdotes, and practical information to diverse groups.
- Ensure guest safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout the tour.
- Manage group flow, pacing, and itinerary adjustments based on weather and interests.
- Provide high-quality commentary, use visual aids, and answer questions.
- Collect feedback, report incidents, and maintain tour materials.
- Collaborate with team for daily scheduling, check-ins, and continuous quality improvements.
- Represent the company with professionalism and a customer-first attitude.
Qualification
- Excellent verbal communication and storytelling skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Previous tour guiding, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred.
- Passionate about Lisbon’s history, culture, and local neighborhoods.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; comfortable in crowded environments.
- Strong public speaking skills and audience engagement techniques.
- Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, weekends, and peak tourist seasons.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and first aid; willingness to complete training.
- Legal authorization to work in Portugal and a valid EU work permit or equivalent.
