Join Big Trucks Corporation / Hino Cagayan de Oro as a Parts Inventory Specialist. In this role, you will ensure accurate parts availability, streamline inventory processes, and support service teams with timely, high-quality parts to keep vehicles on the road. You’ll work closely with technicians, procurement, and warehouse staff to maintain optimal stock levels, improve picking accuracy, and contribute to our commitment to Total Support for our clients. This position plays a critical role in maintaining fleet readiness, minimizing downtime, and supporting workshop efficiency across our network.
As a member of the inventory team, you will be responsible for accurate data entry, cycle counting, and parts replenishment, while continuously improving processes to reduce errors and achieve faster turnaround times. You will collaborate with service technicians and workshop supervisors to forecast needs, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely receiving and put-away of parts. You will also help implement best practices in storage, labeling, and SKU management, participate in regular audits, and contribute to safety and quality standards on the shop floor. Responsibility
- Maintain accurate inventory records for spare parts and components across warehouses and service bays.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and investigate stock discrepancies to protect inventory integrity.
- Process parts requests, purchase orders, and returns to ensure timely replenishment.
- Collaborate with service technicians and workshop supervisors to forecast parts needs and prevent stockouts.
- Operate and maintain inventory management systems and ERP tools for real-time visibility.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and FIFO/FEFO compliance to minimize damage and obsolescence.
- Assist in receiving, inspection, and put-away of inbound shipments and parts.
- Support periodic audits and continuous improvement initiatives related to parts control.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in parts inventory, warehouse, or logistics, preferably in automotive or trucking sectors.
- Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy; comfortable with numbers and SKU-level data.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems (ERP) and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 kg and to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Knowledge of automotive/truck parts is a plus; willingness to learn and adapt to new products.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying discrepancies and process improvements.
