Join 1 Utama Shopping Centre as a Payroll Executive and take a pivotal role in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll for our diverse team. You will manage end-to-end payroll processing while ensuring full adherence to Malaysian statutory requirements and the Employment Act 1955. This role requires keen attention to detail, integrity in handling confidential information, and the ability to collaborate effectively with HR, Finance, and store operations across Petaling Jaya and the wider Selangor region.
As a Payroll Executive, you will oversee monthly payroll cycles, maintain clean payroll data in our HRIS, reconcile payroll accounts, and generate payslips and statutory reports. You will administer statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, PCB, EIS), handle tax submissions, and respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism. The ideal candidate will stay current with regulatory changes, ensure data privacy, and support year-end processes and statutory audits. Your contributions will help optimize payroll workflows and support a proactive payroll function that drives employee satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibility
- Process end-to-end monthly payroll for all employees in Malaysia, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Administer statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, PCB, EIS) and ensure timely tax submissions (LHDN).
- Maintain payroll data in HRIS/timekeeping systems; ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and management information for HR and Finance.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and clear communication.
- Support year-end processes, tax declarations, and statutory audits; assist with audits as required.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and store operations across Petaling Jaya and Selangor to drive process improvements.
Qualification
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of payroll experience in Malaysia with exposure to EPF, SOCSO, PCB, and EIS.
- Proficiency with Malaysian payroll software and HRIS; strong MS Excel skills.
- Solid knowledge of the Employment Act 1955 and local tax regulations (LHDN).
- Excellent communication skills in English and Malay; ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team; prior experience in a mall or retail setting is a plus.
