Responsibility
- Lead design, execution, and analysis of cutting-edge physics experiments
- Develop and optimize experimental setups, diagnostics, and data acquisition
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to translate research questions into testable hypotheses
- Apply advanced data analysis and statistical methods to interpret results
- Present findings at seminars and prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals
- Ensure laboratory safety, documentation, and compliance with quality standards
- Mentor graduate students and junior researchers; contribute to grant proposals and project management
- Manage project timelines and deliverables to achieve research milestones
Qualification
- PhD in Physics or related field, or equivalent research experience
- Strong hands-on experimental background in optics, quantum devices, cryogenics, or condensed matter systems
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Python (NumPy, SciPy), MATLAB, and LabVIEW
- Experience designing and troubleshooting complex measurement systems; excellent problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals; strong scientific writing and presentation abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and mentor junior researchers
- U.S. work authorization or eligibility; willingness to relocate to Cambridge, MA
