Job description
Join Hi-Tech Mix as a Pick-up Driver in Rawang, Selangor. This full-time role is responsible for safely collecting samples (cubes) from multiple job sites and delivering them to external laboratories for testing when required. You will also handle dispatch documents, maintain accurate records, and ensure on-time pickups and deliveries to support our manufacturing and quality assurance processes.
As a valued member of our logistics team, you will:
- Safely operate company vehicles to collect cubes from designated sites and transport them to laboratories for testing when needed.
- Plan daily routes to optimize delivery times, minimize fuel consumption, and meet tight schedules.
- Load, unload, and secure samples with proper labeling and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Prepare and dispatch delivery documents, update delivery statuses in the system, and obtain required signatures.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety policies, and standard operating procedures; maintain a valid driving license.
- Communicate effectively with site coordinators and colleagues to manage scheduling changes and update stakeholders on progress.
- Support lightweight warehouse tasks as needed and maintain a positive, customer-focused service attitude.
Qualifications and requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; practical driving experience in a logistics or courier role is preferred.
- Valid driving license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move items up to moderate weight; comfortable with repetitive loading/unloading.
- Basic math, documentation, and computer skills to manage logs, delivery notes, and reporting.
- Good communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities; fluent in English and Malay is a plus.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a safety-first attitude.
