NovaForge Industries is seeking an experienced Plant Production Manager to lead our Detroit facility's manufacturing operations. This role combines strategic planning, process optimization, and hands-on leadership to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met across all production lines.

Responsibility
- Lead daily production planning and execution across all shifts to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets.
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, 5S, and continuous improvement across all lines.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including OEE, yield, scrap, and on time delivery.
- Oversee staffing, training, coaching, and performance management of production teams.
- Collaborate with maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize equipment availability.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and promote a culture of safe operations and incident prevention.
- Partner with quality and engineering to resolve root causes and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Manage inventory, material flow, and production scheduling to optimize throughput and cost.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- 5+ years of production management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma principles, and continuous improvement.
- Proven track record improving OEE, throughput, and efficiency metrics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with safety regulations (OSHA) and quality standards (ISO 9001).
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and data analytics tools.
