Responsibility
- Patrol assigned beats to deter crime and ensure public safety
- Respond to incidents and emergencies with sound judgment and safe procedures
- Investigate incidents, collect evidence, and file accurate incident and arrest reports
- Engage with community members and partners to build trust and address quality-of-life concerns
- Make strategic traffic stops, enforce traffic laws, and manage crash scenes
- Coordinate with other agencies on major incidents and investigations
- Maintain physical fitness and complete weapons qualification and training requirements
- Participate in ongoing professional development and specialized assignments
Qualification
- Minimum high school diploma or GED; college coursework preferred
- 18+ years old; U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass physical fitness assessments, medical screening, and background check
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and de-escalation skills
- Experience in community policing, security, or emergency response is a plus
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Polygraph examination may be required as part of the background process
