Responsibility
- Patrol assigned neighborhoods to deter crime and respond to incidents
- Respond to emergency calls and conduct initial assessments at the scene
- Enforce laws, issue citations, and conduct traffic stops as appropriate
- Investigate incidents, collect evidence, and prepare thorough reports
- Engage with community members to build trust and facilitate safety initiatives
- Coordinate with detectives, fire, and EMS during emergencies
- Participate in specialized units and training to enhance skills
- Maintain physical fitness and adhere to department policies and standards
Qualification
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
- High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving history
- Ability to pass physical fitness and medical screenings
- Successful completion of written and physical tests and background investigation
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and de-escalation skills
- Commitment to upholding the law with integrity and respect for community
