Responsibility
- Conduct patrols to deter crime and protect life and property across assigned districts
- Respond to emergency calls, manage scenes, and coordinate with other responders
- Investigate incidents, collect evidence, interview witnesses, and file accurate incident reports
- Enforce laws and department policies while maintaining professionalism and community trust
- Prepare thorough, court-ready reports and maintain precise records
- Engage with community members to address safety concerns and foster positive relations
- Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to solve complex public safety challenges
Qualification
- Minimum age 21; U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree preferred
- Valid driverβs license with a clean driving record
- Successful completion of police officer academy and field training program
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient report writing
- Excellent physical fitness and the ability to meet departmental performance standards
- Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to work ethically under pressure
- Background check, polygraph, drug screening, and medical clearance as part of the selection process
