Responsibility
- Conduct patrol duties to deter crime and ensure public safety in assigned neighborhoods.
- Respond promptly to calls for service and incidents requiring police assistance.
- Investigate and document incidents, collect evidence, and preserve the chain of custody.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and present findings to supervisors and courts as required.
- Engage with community members to build trust, provide guidance, and address concerns.
- Collaborate with detectives, traffic units, and other agencies on investigations and operations.
- Maintain fitness standards, equipment readiness, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Attend ongoing training to stay current on laws, procedures, and technology.
Qualification
- Residency or eligibility to work in the United States and valid law enforcement certification or academy completion.
- Minimum age 21; high school diploma or equivalent; some jurisdictions require higher education credits.
- Excellent communication, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
- Physical fitness and endurance to perform demanding duties; successful completion of fitness test.
- Strong ethics, integrity, and community-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in report writing, information processing, and case management software.
- Driver's license with clean record; willingness to obtain advanced credentials as needed.
