Responsibility
- Patrol assigned beats to deter crime and ensure public safety while maintaining a visible and approachable presence.
- Respond promptly to 911 calls, emergencies, and incidents, assessing risk and taking appropriate action.
- Conduct preliminary investigations, collect evidence, and document findings accurately for criminal and administrative purposes.
- Prepare clear, concise reports and maintain detailed incident logs and dashboards.
- Engage with community members, provide safety information, and participate in neighborhood outreach programs to foster trust.
- Collaborate with specialized units, supervisors, and partner agencies to coordinate responses and share critical intelligence.
- Apply de-escalation techniques and use force only as a last resort, following department policy and training.
- Attend ongoing training, scenario drills, and professional development to advance skills and career opportunities.
Qualification
- Minimum age 21 years and U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or GED; college coursework or degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Pass physical fitness assessment, medical evaluation, and thorough background investigation.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Commitment to ethics, integrity, and respectful community engagement.
- Ability to pass psychological evaluation and drug screening as required.
- Willingness to work diverse shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
