Join Crescent Institute for Advanced Studies as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. This full-time appointment focuses on interdisciplinary academic research across biomedical sciences, data science, and social science methods. Responsibility
- Plan, design, and execute independent and collaborative research projects aligned with the institute’s strategic priorities.
- Develop and implement experimental protocols, collect and curate datasets, and ensure data integrity.
- Perform advanced statistical analysis and data modeling using Python, R, and MATLAB; create reproducible workflows.
- Prepare and submit manuscripts to peer‑reviewed journals; present findings at internal seminars and external conferences.
- Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to translate research into actionable insights.
- Mentor graduate students and research staff; contribute to training workshops and lab meetings.
- Assist with grant writing and progress reporting; contribute to the preparation of funding applications.
- Maintain rigorous documentation, data governance, and open science practices.
Qualification
- PhD in a relevant field (e.g., biology, computer science, statistics, psychology, or related discipline) or anticipated conferral within 6 months.
- Strong publication record and demonstrated ability to conduct independent, high-quality research.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Python, R, MATLAB) and experience with SQL and data visualization.
- Experience in experimental design, statistics, and reproducible research practices.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Collaborative mindset with demonstrated success in multidisciplinary teams and project management.
- U.S. work authorization or eligibility for visa sponsorship; prior grant writing experience is a plus.
