Nova Academia Research Group invites applications for a Senior Research Scientist to lead and contribute to cutting-edge projects in computational neuroscience and cognitive science. Responsibility
- Lead design and execution of research projects in computational neuroscience and cognitive science
- Analyze complex datasets using Python, R, MATLAB; implement robust statistical models
- Ensure rigorous data management, reproducible workflows, and proper documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across psychology, neuroscience, and computer science
- Mentor graduate students, interns, and early-career researchers
- Prepare grant proposals, manage project milestones, and track deliverables
- Disseminate findings through high-quality publications and conference presentations
- Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and data protection policies
Qualification
- PhD in Neuroscience, Psychology, Computer Science, or a closely related field; or near completion
- 3+ years of postdoctoral or scholarly research experience in computational neuroscience or related domain
- Strong programming skills in Python and R; experience with MATLAB or Julia preferred
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization
- Track record of scholarly publications and experience with grant writing
- Experience designing experiments and managing data with a focus on reproducibility
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentorship abilities
- Ability to work independently within a matrix, multi-disciplinary environment
