As a Senior Research Scientist, you will drive innovative projects, shape study designs, and translate complex data into impactful insights for publication and grant funding.
Responsibility
- Design, plan, and oversee experimental studies and data collection across multiple projects.
- Lead data analysis using statistical software (R, Python) and ensure rigorous reproducibility and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to develop research hypotheses and experimental protocols.
- Mentor graduate students and research staff; supervise day-to-day lab operations and compliance with safety and ethics guidelines.
- Prepare and contribute to grant proposals, progress reports, and manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
- Present findings at internal seminars and external conferences; translate results into actionable insights.
- Manage data management plans, IRB/ethics processes, and ensure data integrity and privacy where applicable.
Qualification
- PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g., Biology, Neuroscience, Psychology, Data Science) or equivalent research experience.
- Strong background in experimental design, statistics, and advanced data analysis; proficiency in R and Python; experience with SQL and visualization tools.
- Proven track record of publications and experience writing grant proposals.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work independently and mentor junior researchers.
- Experience managing research projects, timelines, and budgets; strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with research ethics, IRB processes, and data privacy protocols.
- Proficiency with laboratory methods, coding best practices, and data management.
