This role blends leadership, technical expertise, and strategic thinking to scale our printing capacity while reducing waste and cost. You’ll collaborate with design, prepress, and purchasing teams to deliver exceptional print products for a diverse client base.

Responsibility

  • Oversee daily print production across digital and offset presses, ensuring on‑time delivery and top‑tier quality.
  • Lead prepress coordination, color management, and proofing processes to achieve accurate color reproduction.
  • Manage production scheduling, capacity planning, and preventative maintenance programs for all equipment.
  • Establish and enforce standard operating procedures, safety practices, and quality control checks.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (throughput, waste, downtime, on‑time ship rate) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with design, purchasing, and client services to optimize material usage and cost efficiency.
  • Mentor and train junior operators, troubleshoot issues, and promote a culture of accountability and excellence.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Printing Technology or a related field, or 5+ years of hands‑on print production management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with both digital and offset printing environments.
  • Strong color management skills, ICC profiling, and proofing experience.
  • Proficiency with RIP software, prepress workflows, bindery, and finishing equipment.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) and environmental considerations in a print shop.
  • Ability to read job tickets, manage budgets, and coordinate internal and external vendors.
