Responsibility
- Operate and maintain offset and/or digital printing presses, ensuring optimal speed and print quality.
- Set up jobs from production tickets, verify sizes, perform color calibration, and adjust ink density.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Collaborate with prepress to verify color profiles, artwork accuracy, and print specifications.
- Monitor color consistency, registration, and overall quality across runs; troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Prepare substrates, inks, coatings, and manage waste in a safe, efficient manner.
- Document job parameters, manage inventory, and communicate status to production teams to meet deadlines.
- Adhere to health and safety policies and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualification
- 2+ years of experience in printing operations, preferably on offset or digital presses.
- Strong understanding of color management, CMYK, ICC profiles, and print workflow software.
- Ability to read job tickets, interpret specifications, and verify dimensions accurately.
- Proficient in basic math, quality control, and problem solving under deadline pressure.
- Excellent eye for detail, color accuracy, and consistency across runs.
- Willingness to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs; strong safety awareness.
- Team player with clear communication and documentation skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
