VividPrint Solutions, a premier printing house in New York City, is seeking a seasoned Printing Production Lead to optimize and oversee our high-volume production. This role blends hands-on technical work with leadership, process optimization, and cross-department collaboration.
As the Printing Production Lead, you will ensure on-time delivery, color accuracy, waste reduction, and safe operations across offset and digital printing workflows. You will mentor operators, implement standard operating procedures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve throughput while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibility
- Oversee daily production schedules for offset and digital print streams, ensuring on-time delivery and resource optimization.
- Lead and mentor a team of press operators, prepress technicians, and assembly staff; manage performance and training programs.
- Monitor color fidelity and print quality across jobs; implement color management workflows and ICC profiles.
- Enforce safety, compliance, and housekeeping standards; conduct regular risk assessments and incident reporting.
- Collaborate with prepress, finishing, and shipping teams to streamline processes and reduce cycle times.
- Analyze production metrics, waste, and downtime; implement lean improvements and cost-control measures.
- Coordinate maintenance and preventive upkeep of presses, bindery equipment, and digital printers with vendors.
- Review job specifications and communicate requirements to ensure feasible production planning and customer satisfaction.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Printing Technology, Manufacturing, or related field (or 5+ years of equivalent hands-on experience in a commercial printing environment).
- 5+ years of leadership experience in offset and/or digital printing operations.
- Strong knowledge of color management, ICC profiling, RIP software, and prepress workflows.
- Proven ability to read job tickets, schematics, and equipment manuals; excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, process improvement, and data-driven decision making.
- Excellent communication, team-building, and vendor management capabilities.
- Safety-conscious, with working knowledge of OSHA standards and best practices in a print facility.
- Availability to work flexible hours as needed to meet production deadlines.
