Total E&P Malaysia invites a results-driven Procurement Analyst to join the Drilling & Wells team on a contract basis. In this role, you will manage end-to-end procurement activities for goods and services that support drilling operations, from initial requirements through post-award follow-up, ensuring strict adherence to company policies, local regulations, and HSSE standards. You will be the bridge between project teams and suppliers, translating technical needs into precise procurement plans and contracts.
As a key member of our procurement function, you will develop and execute strategic sourcing plans, evaluate supplier bids, negotiate favorable terms, and drive cost optimization without compromising safety or quality. You will oversee supplier onboarding, performance management, risk assessment, and contract administration, maintaining rigorous documentation for audits and ensuring compliance with internal controls. Your ability to forecast demand, manage lead times, and coordinate with engineering, operations, and QA/QC teams will be essential to keeping projects on schedule.

Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end procurement for Drilling & Wells projects, including requirement validation, supplier selection, negotiation, purchase orders, and post-award administration.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans; evaluate bids, conduct supplier risk assessments, and negotiate favorable terms and SLAs aligned with project timelines and budgets.
- Manage supplier onboarding, performance tracking, and contract administration; maintain robust SRM and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Drive cost optimization and value engineering opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, QA/QC) to forecast demand, manage lead times, and mitigate supply chain risks; monitor KPIs and reporting.
- Ensure ethical sourcing, HSSE compliance, supplier diversity, and audit readiness; manage documentation for audits and approvals.
- Handle changes, renewals, and close-out activities; resolve disputes, manage supplier relationships, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in the oil and gas sector and drilling & wells.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, supplier evaluation, and compliance.
- Proficiency with ERP and e-procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba) and MS Excel data analysis.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of HSSE, ethics, anti-corruption policies, and regulatory requirements; proven audit readiness.
- Ability to work in Kuala Lumpur with flexibility for project travel if required.
- Experience with supplier onboarding, risk assessment, and supplier performance management.
