As the Production Manager, you will own the end-to-end manufacturing process, from plan to delivery, and you will partner with engineering, quality, procurement, and maintenance to optimize throughput, reduce waste, and ensure safety and compliance. You will mentor supervisors and frontline staff, develop staffing plans, and implement best practices in lean manufacturing, TPM, and cost control. Your leadership will be instrumental in achieving on-time delivery, defect reduction, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include aligning production plans with demand, monitoring KPIs, driving continuous improvement projects, and managing budgets and resources. Responsibility
- Lead daily production operations to meet quality standards and on-time delivery while maintaining safety.
- Develop and execute production plans, capacity planning, and scheduling across all lines.
- Monitor key performance indicators (OEE, yield, scrap, downtime) and implement improvement initiatives.
- Manage manufacturing floor teams, assign responsibilities, conduct training, and coach supervisors.
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, waste reduction, and continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/quality standards, safety programs and GMP where applicable.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Maintenance to optimize processes and troubleshoot production issues.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in production management in a manufacturing environment; supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, data analysis, and production planning software.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with safety and quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF or GMP) as applicable.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage budgets, and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
