In this pivotal role, you will perform quality control checks on bearings and machined components, support grinding operations, and carry out basic plant maintenance to ensure smooth, continuous production. Responsibility
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality checks on bearings and machined components using precision measurement tools.
- Operate grinding machinery and assist with basic repair and maintenance of production equipment.
- Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions in the quality system.
- Support preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure conformance to tolerances and process parameters.
- Collaborate with production teams to investigate deviations and implement containment and corrective actions.
- Maintain a safe, organized work area and adhere to safety SOPs and 5S practices.
- Assist with calibration of measurement instruments and data recording for process control.
Qualification
- Diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Engineering or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in QC, inspection, grinding, or production maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong skills in precision measurement with micrometers, calipers, height gauges; familiarity with CMM is a plus.
- Knowledge of quality systems and documentation best practices (ISO 9001 understanding is a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced setup.
- Safe working practices and compliance with PPE and site safety rules; ability to follow SOPs and work instructions.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and basic computer literacy (MS Office or equivalent); data entry proficiency.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
