Responsibility
- Facilitate accurate, real-time interpretation for in-person and remote meetings.
- Translate complex concepts across legal, medical, and business topics with precision.
- Adhere to confidentiality standards and handle sensitive client information discreetly.
- Prepare for assignments by reviewing relevant terminology and background materials.
- Collaborate with clients and colleagues to clarify meaning and context as needed.
- Assist in creating and updating glossaries of industry-specific terms.
- Provide cultural context to ensure clear and respectful communication.
- Continuously improve interpreting skills through ongoing professional development.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Interpretation, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certification from nationally recognized interpreting associations (e.g., ATA, CMI) preferred.
- 3+ years of professional interpreting experience.
- Proficiency in English and at least one additional language (Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, or Russian highly desirable).
- Exceptional interpersonal, listening, and note-taking abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure, confidential environments.
- Legal or medical sector experience is an advantage.
