We are seeking an experienced interpreter who can deliver accurate, culturally sensitive interpretation in real time, while ensuring client satisfaction and strict confidentiality.
As part of our team, you will work with diverse clients including corporate executives, legal professionals, and conference organizers, supporting interpreters during live events and remote sessions.
Responsibility
- Provide high level consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for on site and virtual events, ensuring accuracy and cultural nuance.
- Prepare glossaries and terminology management to ensure consistency across all assignments.
- Collaborate with clients, conference organizers, and event staff to plan interpretation needs and logistics.
- Set up and test interpretation equipment, booths, headsets, and backup systems before sessions.
- Deliver clear, unbiased interpretation while maintaining confidentiality and ethics.
- Adapt language and delivery for diverse audiences and time zones.
- Provide post event debriefs and assistance with transcripts or summaries as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in interpretation, linguistics, or related field; professional interpreter certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in consecutive and simultaneous interpretation across multiple domains.
- Fluency in English and at least one other major language; additional language skills a plus.
- Proficiency with interpretation equipment and software, including portable booths and audio systems.
- Strong memory, note-taking, public speaking, and real time decision making abilities.
- Excellent cross cultural communication and high confidentiality standards.
- Ability to travel or work across time zones and adapt to varying schedules.
