Responsibility
- Translate documents from English to German and German to English with accuracy and cultural nuance.
- Collaborate with project managers to plan timelines and deliverables.
- Maintain and update terminology databases and glossaries to ensure consistency.
- Perform thorough QA and proofreading, including style and brand voice alignment.
- Leverage CAT tools (SDL Trados, MemoQ) to optimize productivity.
- Adhere to client-specific instructions, style guides, and data security standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback on workflows.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Native-level German and professional English proficiency.
- 3+ years of professional translation experience, preferably in corporate/market sectors.
- Proficiency with CAT tools such as SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, or Memsource.
- Strong terminology management and QA skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
