We’re seeking a proactive Property Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. You’ll drive operations, financial performance, and tenant relations while collaborating with owners and a network of trusted vendors.
In this role you will combine strategic planning with hands-on execution to maintain high occupancy, optimize budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Responsibility
- Oversee daily operations for a portfolio of residential and commercial properties, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and tenant satisfaction.
- Manage leasing activities, renewals, move-ins/outs, credit checks, and occupancy targets to maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Develop and monitor annual operating budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-control measures while reporting to property owners.
- Coordinate maintenance requests, vendor contracts, preventive maintenance, and warranty follow-up to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
- Lead owner communications, provide timely performance reports, and translate property data into actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with housing regulations, safety standards, and fair housing practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience in property management.
- 3+ years of property management experience, multi-property portfolio preferred, with a proven track record of occupancy and budget management.
- Strong proficiency with property management software (Yardi, AppFolio, MRI) and MS Office.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; customer-focused mindset.
- Knowledge of local housing laws, fair housing regulations, and safety compliance standards.
- Ability to manage budgets, vendor relationships, and complex maintenance scheduling.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPM, CAM) or ongoing training are highly desirable.
