Responsibility
- Lead end to end editorial process from concept to publication for print and digital formats.
- Develop and manage editorial calendars, ensuring timely delivery of manuscripts.
- Coordinate cross functional teams including authors, designers, production, and marketing.
- Provide substantive editing, copyediting, and proofreading to maintain high editorial standards.
- Collaborate on metadata, indexing, and SEO strategies to optimize discoverability.
- Review design layouts and ensure accuracy of content and typography.
- Maintain quality control by adhering to style guides and production schedules.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field.
- 5+ years of editorial or publishing experience in a commercial publishing house.
- Proven track record in print and digital publishing, with strong copyediting and proofreading skills.
- Excellent project management and cross functional collaboration abilities.
- Strong knowledge of style guides, metadata practices, and basic HTML or CMS familiarity.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with meticulous attention to detail and deadlines.
- Experience with data driven content strategies and audience development is a plus.
