Responsibility
- Lead editorial workflows from manuscript to publication for print and digital formats.
- Drive content strategy, audience profiling, and editorial calendar development.
- Manage editors and freelance contributors; assign, mentor, and ensure timely delivery.
- Oversee rights, permissions, and licensing negotiations with authors and agents.
- Coordinate with design, production, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive releases.
- Implement rigorous quality control including copyediting, fact-checking, and style consistency.
- Optimize content for search and discoverability through SEO, metadata, and digital publishing best practices.
- Monitor performance metrics, report insights, and continuously improve editorial workflows.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Publishing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 5+ years of editorial experience in publishing with a demonstrated leadership track record.
- Proficiency with CMS platforms, InDesign, WordPress, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong rights management, contracts understanding, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, project management, and organizational abilities.
- Experience with SEO, metadata, analytics, and content optimization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.
