Responsibility
- Own end-to-end editorial operations from manuscript evaluation to final production for assigned titles
- Collaborate with authors, agents, and editors to shape manuscript development and acquisitions
- Develop and maintain editorial calendars, deadlines, and production schedules
- Coordinate with design, marketing, and sales teams to optimize print and digital formats
- Ensure accuracy in copy, fact-checking, and house style compliance across all materials
- Lead quality assurance reviews and oversee proofs through final sign-off
- Support equity, diversity, and inclusion in content, author outreach, and representation
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in English, Publishing, Communications, or a related field; advanced editorial training a plus
- Minimum 3 years of editorial or publishing experience, with track record in both print and digital formats
- Proven ability to manage multiple titles, priorities, and tight deadlines
- Strong command of English grammar, style guides, and copyediting standards
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and production workflows
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
