Advanced Energy is seeking a strategic Purchasing Manager to lead the design and execution of sourcing strategies for indirect spend across our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will partner with Operations, Finance, IT, and external suppliers to ensure a reliable, cost-competitive supply base that supports production targets, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for indirect categories, drive supplier performance, and implement best-in-class procurement processes. This position requires analytical rigor, hands-on leadership, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment in Rosario, Batangas. Key focus areas include developing and executing sourcing strategies for indirect spend, negotiating favorable terms, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You will lead a small procurement team, oversee supplier onboarding, and monitor key performance indicators to prevent disruptions and optimize total cost of ownership across the organization.

Responsibility
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing for indirect spend across manufacturing operations to ensure uninterrupted supply and cost efficiency.
- Lead supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance management to achieve target savings and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Finance, IT) to align procurement strategies with business goals and production schedules.
- Implement supplier risk management, performance metrics, and supplier development programs to mitigate disruption risk.
- Manage procurement processes, policies, and compliance; drive continuous improvement and cost-to-serve optimization.
- Oversee day-to-day purchasing activities, supervise team members, and mentor procurement professionals.
- Optimize inventory levels and supplier lead times to support manufacturing output and on-time delivery.
- Drive ethical sourcing, regulatory compliance, and ESG considerations in supplier relationships.
Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications are a plus.
- 7+ years of purchasing/procurement experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role within manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and financial acumen with proven budget management skills.
- Proficiency with ERP and e-procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data-driven decision making.
- In-depth knowledge of local supplier base, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Demonstrated track record of cost reduction, supplier development, and process improvement.
- Willingness to travel as needed and adapt to a dynamic manufacturing environment.
