PrimeBite Foods is seeking a strategic and hands on Quality Assurance Manager to lead our food safety program across production and packaging facilities in Chicago. This role is ideal for a detail oriented leader who blends HACCP knowledge with strong cross functional collaboration to ensure top quality and regulatory compliance.
In this role you will partner with Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain to safeguard product integrity, drive continuous improvement, and uphold our brand promise of safe, delicious products.

Responsibility
- Develop and maintain HACCP plans and GMP compliance across all production lines
- Lead internal and external audits and close out findings with robust CAPAs
- Lead quality risk assessments and root cause analyses for customer complaints
- Collaborate with R&D to validate new products and process changes
- Manage supplier QA programs and finished product testing
- Maintain quality metrics dashboards and report to executive leadership
- Train and develop quality staff and plant personnel on Food Safety policies
- Ensure regulatory compliance including FDA, state authorities and ISO standards
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field; Master preferred
- Minimum 5 years in QA in food manufacturing with leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and FSMA
- Experience with audits, CAPA management, and supplier quality
- Analytical mindset with data driven decision making; proficiency with Excel and QA software
- Excellent communication and cross functional collaboration
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced production environment
- Certifications such as CFSP or SQF Practitioner a plus
