Job description

Maruwa is hiring a QC Engineer in Melaka to strengthen our quality management team. In this role you will help develop and implement quality standards across our manufacturing processes to ensure products meet stringent specifications and customer expectations. You will be the quality advocate on the shop floor, partnering with production, engineering, and procurement to prevent defects and drive continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities include monitoring process capability, performing capability studies, conducting root cause analysis, and leading 8D problem solving when issues arise. You will support incoming material inspection, in process checks, and final product release against documented quality criteria. You will document quality metrics, generate dashboards, participate in internal and supplier audits, and assist in corrective and preventative action CAPA activities. The role requires hands on involvement, accurate data collection, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

We prefer candidates with experience in ISO 9001 or ISO 13485, statistical tools such as SPC or Minitab, and problem solving methodologies. Responsibility

  • Develop and maintain quality standards, SOPs, and work instructions across manufacturing lines
  • Lead quality inspections and process capability studies, analyze data, and implement improvements
  • Perform root cause analysis for nonconformances and coordinate CAPA actions
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and procurement to prevent defects and drive quality improvements
  • Coordinate internal and supplier quality audits and support external customer audits
  • Maintain quality records, QA dashboards, and KPI reporting
  • Support incoming material inspection, in process checks, and final product release against documented quality criteria
  • Participate in new product introductions and launch readiness from a quality perspective

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in quality or QC in manufacturing (preferably electronics, plastics, or related fields)
  • Strong understanding of quality methodologies (8D, 5 Why, DMAIC) and problem solving
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or ISO 14001; audit experience is a plus
  • Data analysis skills and proficiency with MS Excel; experience with QMS software
  • Detail oriented with strong documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work on the shop floor and in a cross functional team
  • Knowledge of statistical tools (SPC, MSA, FMEA) is a plus
