Macdermid Performance Solutions is hiring a QC Technician for our chemical manufacturing operation in Tuas, West Region. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to partner with Customer technical teams, Production, and local manufacturing staff to provide daily QC support, ensuring product quality, process stability, and regulatory compliance.
You will be responsible for sampling, performing routine quality checks, recording data, and communicating results to cross-functional teams. You will support raw material inspection, in-process monitoring, finished product testing, and stability checks, ensuring alignment with internal specifications and customer requirements. You will contribute to continuous improvement by identifying deviations, participating in root-cause analyses, and supporting CAPA implementation. You will maintain accurate documentation, support calibration and maintenance of measurement equipment, and ensure traceability of all QC activities. You will also uphold safety, quality, and environmental standards in accordance with GMP and ISO requirements.

Responsibility
- Perform daily QC checks on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods to verify conformance to specifications.
- Document test results accurately, maintain data integrity in the quality system, and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain essential analytical equipment used for QC testing, reporting any instrument issues promptly.
- Collect, label, and manage samples with proper chain-of-custody to ensure traceability.
- Support internal and supplier audits, participate in CAPA investigations, and assist with root-cause analysis of quality deviations.
- Collaborate with Production, Technical Teams, and Quality to resolve issues and implement process improvements.
- Adhere to GMP, ISO quality standards, and health, safety, and environmental policies in daily operations.
Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience in QC roles within a chemical manufacturing setting.
- Experience in a QC-oriented role with an emphasis on accurate testing, documentation, and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of QC principles, sampling methods, and data integrity practices.
- Familiarity with GMP/ISO quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with MS Office and quality data systems; ability to record and analyze data accurately.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to new procedures, and grow within the organization.
