Responsibility

  • Perform routine and non-routine microbiological tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished nutritional products.
  • Monitor environmental conditions within the laboratory and manufacturing areas to ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
  • Implement and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) at all times.
  • Document and report test results accurately, investigate deviations, and participate in root-cause analyses when required.
  • Support validation and verification activities for new processes and equipment.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring all quality documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and resolve quality issues efficiently.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, calibrate instruments, and adhere to strict laboratory safety protocols.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or related discipline.
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant laboratory experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
  • Solid understanding of microbiological testing methodologies and regulatory standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP).
  • Experience with microbial identification, enumeration, and environmental monitoring techniques.
  • Proficient in laboratory documentation, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic, results-oriented team.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance procedures.
