NorthStar Precision Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Quality Control Engineer to join our growing team in Raleigh, NC. You will lead QC activities across production lines, ensure product conformance, and drive continuous improvement. Responsibility
- Plan and execute incoming, in process, and final inspections to ensure conformance to specifications and customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain quality control plans, standard operating procedures, and inspection criteria.
- Utilize statistical tools and measurement systems to analyze data and identify root causes for defects.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to implement corrective actions and process improvements (CAPA).
- Lead nonconformance investigations, document findings, and coordinate with suppliers on defect resolution.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and applicable standards.
- Mentor QC technicians and train operators on quality standards and inspection techniques.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency with quality tools such as SPC, MSA, DOE, root cause analysis, and 8D problem solving.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and GMP standards; familiarity with industry specific requirements is a plus.
- Proficiency with measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, vision systems) and data analysis software (Minitab, Excel).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills for cross functional teams.
- ASQ certification such as CQE or CQA is a plus.
