Responsibility

  • Lead regulatory affairs for ingredients, packaging, labeling, halal certification, and safety across APAC markets.
  • Prepare, review, and submit regulatory filings and registrations; monitor timelines and secure timely approvals with authorities.
  • Collaborate with R&D, QA, regulatory, and supply chain teams to implement compliant product changes from concept to launch.
  • Monitor regulatory changes in Malaysia and neighboring markets; translate requirements into updated product specifications, labeling, and documentation.
  • Maintain comprehensive regulatory dossiers, licenses, certificates, and change-control records; support audit readiness.
  • Manage halal certification processes and liaise with certification bodies to ensure ongoing halal status for products.
  • Assess regulatory risk, develop mitigation plans, and provide guidance to cross-functional teams on compliance matters.

Qualification

  • Degree in pharmacy, chemistry, food science, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of regulatory affairs experience in FMCG, ingredients, or related sectors; regional exposure preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysia's regulatory framework, NPRA processes, and halal certification requirements.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence cross-functionally.
  • Proficient in English; Malay language skills are a plus; strong documentation and data management capabilities.
  • Experience with regulatory databases, dossiers, and labeling compliance; detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as needed.
