Join Zuspresso (M) Sdn Bhd as a Regional Senior Manager, Brand IP and play a pivotal role in protecting and growing the value of our brand assets. This leadership role focuses on development, protection and enforcement of the brand's intellectual property across Character, Product, Licensing and Ambassadorship. Based in Glenmarie, Selangor, you will collaborate with Marketing, Legal, Product, Licensing and Sales teams to safeguard brand equity and drive revenue across markets.
As a strategic IP leader, you will shape the regional IP strategy, oversee trademark stewardship, monitor for infringements, and coordinate enforcement actions in partnership with external counsel. You will direct licensing negotiations, manage licensing contracts, and ensure compliance while maximizing brand opportunities. This role also involves managing budgets, vendor relationships, and building a high-performing IP team to ensure consistent brand storytelling and protected assets across all touchpoints.

Responsibility
- Develop and maintain the regional IP strategy to protect characters, products, and licensed assets across markets.
- Oversee trademark portfolio management, filings, renewals, and enforcement actions; monitor infringements and coordinate legal responses.
- Lead licensing strategy and negotiations with partners, agencies and licensees to maximize revenue while protecting brand integrity.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Legal, and Compliance teams to embed IP considerations in go-to-market plans and product development.
- Manage regional IP budgets, vendor relationships, and a scalable IP operations calendar; lead risk assessment and incident response.
- Build and mentor a high-performing IP team; foster cross-functional collaboration and external partnerships with counsel and IP firms.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Marketing, or a related field; advanced IP certification or legal qualification is a plus.
- 8-10+ years of experience in IP, brand protection, licensing, or related areas; regional or global exposure is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of trademark laws, IP enforcement, licensing agreements, and anti-counterfeiting strategies in Malaysia and regional markets.
- Proven leadership experience with cross-functional teams and external partners; ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and project management skills; proficiency with IP management tools and databases.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support regional initiatives.
